Water and theme parks
Algarve is also rich in water parks and Aquashow is the one nearest Açoteias, about 15 km.
Zoomarine is a theme park, as well as water park, and promotes knowledge, conservation and respect for the environment and species. From Açoteias to Zoomarine it is about 18 km.
Environmental park
The Vilamoura Environmental Park – PAV is a protected area in Vilamoura, 6 km from Falésia beach, covering a total of 200 ha and is also classified as an ecological and agricultural national reserve.
It’s a large wetland area where 65% is occupied with reed beds, 20% is a lake area and bulrush beds cover 15% of the whole park area.
It’s a very special habitat, very rich in fauna and flora, excellent for visitors to go on walks, horse and bike rides throughout the park while observing animals and plants. The purposes are to protect flora and fauna, for scientific research and to help people, especially younger people to learn and protect our nature, our planet.
It´s the perfect communion with nature!
Inside the park you find CENA the Center to study nature and environment that provides information about the park, exhibitions as well as a small media center.
Beaches
Villas Pinhal da Falésia and Flor da Falésia Villas are next to Falésia beach, a very beautiful and famous beach that extends for more than 3 km with fine and golden sand, clear, clean and calm water. The high cliffs with warm colours make the landscape joyful and peaceful.
At Falésia beach you find, at your disposal, some facilities like sun loungers and parasols.
